The 8 Best Landing Page Software Tools

Leadpages

Leadpages is a lead generation platform, not just landing page software.

You can build entire conversion-focused websites as well as high converting landing pages using a simple drag & drop editor.

You can also create alert bars and popovers to generate leads. Leadlinks allow people to sign up with a single click, and Leaddigits are basically SMS campaigns to build your email list.

Add unlimited traffic, leads, landing pages, and integrations. And you have a powerful lead generation solution.

In fact, you can host landing pages on a Leadpages URL without a website (note: annual plans come with a free domain name).

If you use WordPress, their plugin allows you to easily import your landing pages. Leadpages also hosts everything for you, so while pages appear on your domain, your web host is unaffected.

They have over 200 templates, some of which include Stripe checkout pages, which is great for building sales funnels.

Instapage

Instapage is solely for landing page design and optimization.

As a result, you can expect a highly refined builder. Whereas most builders restrict you to a block-style layout, Instapage is more like designing and aligning images in Canva or Photoshop.

Plus, you get CRO functionality that you’d normally have to pay for with other tools. For example, dynamic text replacement and heatmaps to track visitor behavior.

Conversion analytics, unlimited A/B testing, and a platform designed for collaboration are included.

While Instapage is a powerful platform, their Core plan only allows 30 published landing pages.

OptimizePress 3 (WordPress Only)

OptimizePress is a WordPress landing page builder.

The old plugin has been replaced by a new one built from scratch.

If you want a simple landing page solution, this is a good choice.

The visual editor is easier to use than Thrive Architect/Optimize and allows for less customization.

The plugin includes popular email integrations like ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Drip, and Mailerlite.

You can create pages from scratch or use one of over 50 premium templates.

All plans include the landing page builder and a WordPress theme optimized for email list building.

A/B testing and analytics are included in higher plan bonuses like OptimizeLeads. Using their new checkouts add-on, you can create checkout pages, integrate payment gateways (like Stripe/PayPal), and deliver digital products.

GetResponse

GetResponse is a leading email marketing platform that also handles landing page design.

Landing page functionality is often an afterthought in email marketing tools, and thus cannot compete with a dedicated landing page builder.

This isn’t the case. They have a flexible drag & drop editor and a large template library. Some templates are dated, but GetResponse has done a good job updating them.

Templates cover opt-in pages, sales pages, webinar pages, thank you pages, etc. Expect all the marketing pages.

You can test A/B variations and deploy pages on your own domain or a GetResponse sub-domain.

The best part:

This tool now includes Autofunnel, which allows you to quickly build entire sales funnels.

You can select from predefined scenarios and funnel types (sales/lead capture/webinar).

In the next step, Autofunnel creates your sales funnel, including your landing page, thank-you/confirmation pages and email automation. Then you can customize as needed.

Its drag & drop page editor allows you to customize your sales funnel.

Data is visualized as a funnel flow to highlight failure points.

Because GetResponse is primarily an email marketing platform, it is best used for email, landing pages, funnel building, and product sales.

Consider this tool an all-in-one marketing tool.

ShortStack

In addition to social media contests, ShortStack offers great landing page software.

You can create landing pages for voting contests, email sign-ups, giveaways, quizzes, photo contests, YouTube, Instagram, and many more.

While the number of lead generation landing page templates is limited, you can access features not available in other tools on this list. And the landing page builder is versatile.

On opt-in forms or simple buttons most landing page builders focus. ShortStack does so much more. Being able to quiz and compete is awesome.

What if your company doesn’t use quizzes or contests? I highly recommend it. They were extremely effective at driving engagement and generating leads when I worked for a marketing agency.

No other strategy allowed me to achieve the same speed.

However, A/B split-testing is not available, so you must use an external tool. If your email tool isn’t supported, you can use a tool like Zapier.
